We are taking it easy: without health concerns, motivation is enough, it is an initiation! Effort corresponding to approximately 500 to 600m of elevation gain in trekking.

We will be walking at the feet of the Dents de Lanfon towards the Col de Lancrenaz and the Aulp Alpage depending on the weather. Yoga will take place during the hike to enjoy the mountain and the lake view.
The second day we will go in the direction of Tournette to take advantage of the great plateaus which dominate the lake and perhaps see ibex who are familiar with this area.

The Trip

Hiking Trip and Yoga Course in Annecy

Annecy is the Venice of the Alps, you will arrive at the heart of one of the most beautiful towns in the Alps, the meeting with your Guide will be on Thursday evening at the Hôtel de l'Edelweiss at 6 p.m., to get to know each other and organise the next days depending on the weather, your Guide will give you the meeting times to make the most of your long weekend.

Our Yoga Teacher will allow you to discover the activity during this training weekend, practicing at the same time as a sport activity in the great outdoors above the Annecy Lake: you will be able to discover meditation and breathing with dynamic Yoga ...


Program of the Hiking & Yoga stay at the Annecy Lake

Day 1 - Thursday
Arrival in Annecy - Col de la Forclaz

You can enjoy Lake Annecy and the city if you arrive early in the day, Annecy is one of the most beautiful towns in the Alps, with a 14 km long lake. The city is made up of many canals, it is the Venice of the Alps.
Small shops and ice cream shops are numerous towards the Pãquier, you can take advantage of the many beaches to swim in the lake. Generally, Lake Annecy is as warm as the Mediterranean Sea.

Meeting point: at the Hôtel Villa Riva, you can take your rooms starting from 3 p.m.
Briefing: at 4:30 p.m. at the hotel bar, you will have a drink with your Trekking Guide and Yoga Instructor, to get to know each other and organise the following three days.

Day 2 - Friday
Col de la Forclaz - Col de Lancrenaz and the Chalet de l'Aulp - Col de la Forclaz

You will be going for a beautiful hike on the heights of Lake Annecy, you will pass by the take-off of the paragliders at Montmin, you will be able to see the spectacle of take-offs which follow one another here at a rather impressive rate on good weather days. Annecy is worldwide known for paragliding with one of the biggest worldwide paragliding attendance, it is possible to see more than 200 paragliders in the sky of Annecy.
You will be walking up by a path in the woods along a ridge, before going out into the pastures near the Chalet de l'Aulp, you can do a Yoga session facing the lake.
The view of the Dent de Lanfon and Mont Verrier is magnificent, the Bauges massif is in front of us.

Day 3 - Saturday
Col de la Forclaz - Direction Le Plateau de la Tournette - Col de la Forclaz

You are going to discover the altitude under the highest peak of Annecy, the Tournette, the first important summit of the Aravis chain, you can be beginners in hiking as in Yoga, the paths have been chosen to not be too long, but with some great view point on the lake. Sometimes, the walk is a little more aerial and sporty, but the distances are short unless the group decides to lengthen the day a little for fun.

Day 4 - Sunday Morning
Yoga at Col de la Forclaz or at Lake level depending on the weather is the ease of organisation

Lise, your Yoga teacher, will see with you how to organise the last morning according to your desires, you can do a fast Yoga session in the morning at sunrise or a little later if you feel like running before or having a bigger sleep ...
Sunday afternoon is free to give you the freedom to enjoy the place: do a paragliding baptism, go to an adventure park or simply head back home quietly ...

Vinyasa Yoga will be one of the different forms of yoga practice:

Like other types of yoga, the practice of Vinyasa Yoga works on a physical and emotional level:

On the physical level it strengthens the spine, the joints and relaxes the muscles. It works particularly on heart rate (strengthens the heart), respiratory capacity (develops breath, increases endurance), increased muscle mass, balance and concentration. It is a Yoga which wants to be dynamic and sporty.
On the emotional level, it acts on the parasympathetic nervous system by reducing stress, a source of muscle tension, and allows more restful sleep. Breathing is the founding element of the practice. It guides consciousness to less accessible places and helps release tension.


How to prepare your backpack for hiking

If possible take a light backpack with good carrying, the backpack should not exceed 1.5 kg.

Backpack for 1 day:


  • Small people: 25 liters max
  • Tall people : 30 liters max

Count 2 liters of water and 1 kg of food for the day.

Head-to-toe material for the hiking weekend:

  • a cap or hat for the sun
  • a hat for the cold in case of bad weather
  • a optional buff or choker but very pleasant in bad weather
  • a Jacket Type Gore Tex or similar windproof and waterproof
  • a pair of gloves, waterproof if possible
  • a warm fleece or thick down to withstand negative temperatures
  • a  waterproof over-pant  
  • a light rain hood or waterproof bag protector
  • a pair of light slippers for the hotel
  • a pair of running / mountain shoes with Vibram type sole of good quality or similar
Yoga equipment:
  • a light and flexible mat for exercising outdoor, easy to transport and to attach to the backpack.

Do not forget  :

  • Sunscreen index 30 to 50
  • one pair of sunglasses category 3
  • one front lamp
  • cash money for huts and documents

Pharmacy & others:

  • Your usual or personal treatments
  • one light survival blanket
  • a nail clipper
  • What to make small dressings
  • Some compresses and plaster or better Strappal

Your guide will have a more complete pharmacy in the event of a larger accident.

For realx time: A small book or Card game (less than 150 grams)…

Necessary for meals:

  • a tuppeware large enough to contain a nice salad for lunch
  • a light knife: Opinel type
  • a fork and a spoon
  • a nice specialty to share with the rest of the group, liquid or solid

The hiker's enemy is weight, but a frozen or soaked hiker is a hiker without pleasure, so take the time to properly pack your bag.

Cancellation and repatriation insurance is advised as well as other insurance guaranteeing search and mountain rescue 

Meeting point

At the Hôtel Villa Riva, 12 Rte de la Tournette, 74290 Veyrier-du-Lac, from 3 pm you can take your rooms.


At 4:30 pm in the hotel bar you will have a drink with your Mountain Leader and your Yoga teacher, to get to know each other and to organise the three days that follow.

How to get to the hotel?

From Annecy train station, take bus n. 60, which takes 15 / 20 minutes to the village of Veyrier du Lac.
Bus stop: Chef lieu de Veyrier, the hotel is 50 metres from the bus stop.
There is a bus every 40 minutes, for further information visit:
